Join artist Ana Balzan for a creative two-day workshop where you’ll hand-build a unique bird feeder using clay slabs. Participants will explore surface design using stamps, carving, and texture tools to create a one-of-a-kind piece. No experience needed—just bring your imagination!
What to Expect
After the workshop, pieces will dry before undergoing bisque and glaze firings (approximately 1–2 weeks).
Once ready, you will receive an email to arrange pickup of your finished bird feeder from the home studio.

What to Expect
- Day 1 — Saturday, July 11 (9 AM – 12 PM)
Participants will cut and shape clay slabs and decorate them using underglazes, colored slips, rollers, carving, and stamps. You will use molds to form the desired shapes for your bird feeder and learn how to properly attach all components together.
- Day 2 — Sunday, July 12 (9 AM – 12 PM)
This session will focus on finishing touches, refining details, and preparing the bird feeder for firing. The instructor will discuss hanging options and demonstrate suitable materials for installing wire.
- Clay, underglazes and colored slips, clear glaze, bisque and glaze firings.
- Wire for hanging (materials will be demonstrated and discussed on the final day)
