I'm hoping to be able to show my painting process by using this page. Because I don't make videos, I'll be photographing my work and the steps it takes to complete it.
I intend to work on abstract paintings this fall (2022). Because I have carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis in my hands and fingers, I'm looking for different painting techniques to help me achieve my goals while also having fun.

Thank you, and
enjoy.

Tropical Arrangement
My mother sent me this photo of a tropical flower arrangement displayed in a bakery in Margarita, Venezuela, where she lives.
I'm not a fan of still-life paintings, but this one caught my eye. I also wanted to paint in a less realistic, more abstract style.
Thank you mami.

From Her Balcony
My mother took this photo from her balcony... it's a beautiful sunrise. Venezuela's Margarita Island.

Autumn
I was so excited to start this painting that I forgot to take the first few photos. I began with a dark blue background, waited a few minutes for it to dry, and then applied gold paint with a squeegee. Before the gold paint dried, I removed it with a plastic pallet to add texture and show some of the blues in the background. I then sprayed water and used light and dark greens to create movement in the painting.

Boulder Golden Season
I adore the golden and siena colors that appear in Colorado during the autumn season. This view of the flatirons always takes my breath away.
Again, I was so eager to get started that I forgot to take a few preliminary photos.
My first step was to glue gold paper foil to the board  and then I started to paint. ; )
