Beginners' Slab Rolling, Underglazes, Slip, and Color Slip
Stephan H.: Ana's workshop on Safety, Slab Rolling and Tile Texture Decoration is just what my wife and I needed to help us to continue in our pottery education. We were able to further our understanding of slips, underglazes and making color slips. The hands-on techniques, great DIY concepts and the ability to experiment with clays, colors and slips will help us take our pottery projects to the next level. |
Ana’s shop is outdoors, in-spite of the hot day, she provided a cool environment for us to comfortably work in. She is a very gracious host, and teacher, which made our learning environment/experience a worthwhile one. My wife and I will continue to use Ana as a resource and most certainly take further classes she has to offer. If you have just entered the pottery world we both, highly recommend Ana as an outstanding educational experience. Seize the Clay!
Sculpting a Woman’s Bust:
What an incredible journey, from building figurative sculptures to teaching a workshop! It has been a pleasure guiding this group in creating beautiful women's busts and helping them discover their passion for working with clay. |

Mika E. : I loved Ana’s class! It has been such a long time since I have done any kind of ceramics, and each of her classes has been very informative and fun. Her workshop is great for all different levels of clay builders. Ana created a very nice, calming atmosphere and did a great job demonstrating things step by step. All the materials needed are provided, and her studio has everything you could possibly need to create a beautiful piece of artwork. I love the flower bowl from the slab rolling workshop and the wind-chime I have created so far. I plan to take more classes!
Safety, Slab Rolling, Tile Texture Decorating from March
The workshops have been fantastic! Meeting new artists has always fascinated me, and being able to share the modest knowledge I have in ceramics has been an amazing experience. Thank you to all the participants. |

Mask-Making Workshop
Aimee K. : Hello Ana, I had the honor to come to your face sculpture workshop at the Firehouse recently. I keep wanting to reach out and let
you know how much I loved that class!! I was focusing so hard and concentrating so deeply that I worry that you couldn't tell how much I was enjoying myself. I'm hoping to make it to your talk on Sunday, but I wanted to email you in case I can't be there to tell you in person how much I enjoyed your workshop. Susan B.: Ana's class was amazing, especially for someone like me who is a complete beginner in sculpting with clay. I felt comfortable and at ease with her because she had the patience and expertise to guide me through the process. She made everything so clear and straightforward, which was a big help considering my lack of experience. Ana's expertise in sculpting with clay allowed her to provide me with valuable guidance and knowledge. She was able to explain the techniques and steps in a clear and straightforward manner, making it easier for me to understand which is crucial for someone like me who is just starting out. |
