Creating Gratitude Wind Chimes - $150
• November 9th & 16th - I’m offering two options for the final session: either Wednesday, November 20th, and/or Saturday, November 23rd. 3 days / 6 hours total 1st day - Nov. 9th - from 9am to 12pm (3 hours) 2nd day - Nov. 16th - from 9am to 11am (2 hours) 3rd day - TBA (1 hour) On the last day, we’ll assemble the wind chime, enjoy tea/coffee with a few snacks, and chat about the creative process. Join us for a unique and heartfelt ceramic workshop where you'll craft your own wind chime and reflect on the things you're thankful for in 2024. This workshop combines creativity with mindfulness, allowing participants to express gratitude while creating a beautiful, personalized piece of art. What You Will Take Home: • A handmade, personalized wind chime. • A sense of accomplishment and mindfulness. • New skills in ceramic art and a deeper appreciation for gratitude. The price includes clay, underglazes, oxides, as well as bisque and glaze firing. |

Join us for an inspiring demonstration in our "Creative Surface Techniques for Clay" workshop. This workshop focuses on the art of screen printing with underglazes.

Continue your exploration of surface decoration with our second installment of "Creative Surface Techniques for Clay." This class will introduce you to a variety of innovative methods for adding unique and intricate designs to your ceramics, perfect for artists looking to expand their creative toolkit.

This workshop is ideal for ceramic artists of all levels. Expand your skills and discover new ways to enhance

- Thickening Underglaze: Learn how to thicken underglaze for use in screen printing, allowing you to create detailed and repeatable patterns on your ceramic pieces.
- Screen Printing: Experience the process of screen printing on clay using traditional mesh screens and heat transfer vinyl. Understand how to create and apply screen prints with underglazes to different weight papers to achieve repeatable designs and create the desired look on your ceramic pieces. You will then test and learn to transfer designs onto different stages of the clay using the papers we printed.

Goddess Within:
Sculpting Your Inner Divinity
Workshop Description: In this workshop, we will explore the timeless tradition of goddess figures found in ancient Greece and how they symbolize strength, femininity, and identity. Each participant will create a small clay sculpture representing the goddess within themselves—a reflection of their own qualities, values, or aspirations. This workshop offers a journey of self-discovery, connecting the rich history of ancient goddess figures to our own modern identities.
Workshop Outline:
• Introduction to Goddess Figures: A brief presentation on ancient Greek goddesses and their symbolic meanings
• Self-Reflection Activity: Participants will take a moment to think about their own personal strengths, qualities, or ideals they want to represent in their goddess sculpture.
• Demonstration: Show participants how to create simple, stylized goddess forms in clay, focusing on shape, texture, and small details. Encouraging creative freedom.
• Sculpting Session: Participants begin creating their small goddess sculptures based on their reflections.
• Lunch Break: Midway through the workshop, we will take a break to enjoy a delicious Greek-inspired lunch. Savor a variety of Greek tapas alongside a fresh, vibrant Greek salad, wine & Non alcoholic drinks as we continue our reflection and conversation in a relaxed, communal setting.
• Finishing Touches: Discuss surface treatments like adding texture, carving, or applying underglazes to enhance their pieces.
• Group Reflection: After the sculptures are complete, invite participants to share their goddess figures and the story behind them. (If desire)

Note: The pieces will need to be fired once they are completely dry, which may take up to 2 weeks. I will send a collective email to notify everyone when their pieces are ready for pickup.
