My name is Ana Balzán. Born and raised in Venezuela, I am an acrylic painter and figurative sculptor based
in Longmont, Colorado. Inspired by Colorado’s landscapes, wildlife, and vibrant bird species, I explore themes
of identity and connection in both my paintings and clay sculptures. My work is rooted in personal narratives, shaped by my experiences as a woman, mother, artist and caregiver.
In 2024, I began teaching ceramic workshops,
where I encourage creativity and self-expression in a welcoming environment.

Mission Statement:
At Ana Balzán Ceramic Studio, our mission is to provide a welcoming and inspiring space
where people of all ages and backgrounds can explore ceramics, express their creativity, and release stress.
We believe in the transformative power of hands-on art-making, offering support, guidance, and the tools needed for every participant to thrive in their ceramic journey.
Vision for the Studio:
Our vision is to create a space that is accessible and inclusive, where families, children, and adults can connect through clay. In 2025, we introduced a test program Parent-Child Ceramic Time, a free program designed to engage parents in creative activities. We provided material to the parents to create a small, meaningful project kids 3 to 5 can complete in short periods of time (in order to maintain their attention and engagement).
Our aim is to expand this program, ensuring that all the material provided continues to be free of charge.
Our goal
Our goal is that children and parents from low-income families can participate fully without barriers.
Looking forward, we hope to secure grants and community support to make our home studio accessible to both those who can afford private sessions and those who need financial assistance, creating an inclusive
environment where creativity, connection, and self-expression are available to everyone.
